Many of our Mustangs are leading wonderful lives with this new owners. Here are some of the them.

ScooterScooter

Scooter is a "gem"! He is very gentle and laid back; and we thank you for the kindness you gave him and all the other "boarders" you have. -Joe

Amanda, Freedom and DiamondFreedom

Freedom (on left) was placed in his new home December 26, 2006!  As you can see he will join Amanda (on Diamond) with or without a rider.

NitroNitro

This is Nitro. He is a 5 year old gelding that I adopted at the BLM adoption in Storrs, CT in August 2007. He had been captured near Fish Creek, Nevada and spent the last two years in captivity in Califonia. After I got him home (thanks to Ever After Mustang Rescue for the transportation), it was amazing how quickly he gentled and let me touch him and brush him. Nitro's training consisted of basic ground work, teaching him to respect my space, moving forward, backward and turning. He is also learning to have his feet picked up. He will pick them up long enough to have them cleaned and he's getting ready for the farrier. After a little more than 3 months of working with him, I am able to put a saddle on and get on him. My goal is to make a good trail horse out of him and so far he is doing fantastic. At the auction, I paid only $25 for him. I wouldn't sell him for a million dollars. He's a part of my family now.

Three months later my son, Duncan, and I were able to  saddle Nitro and get on his back.  It took us along time and lots of patience to get him to this point but it was all worth it.  Working with him has been such a joy. -John
