Proudly hosts
Donna Maye West clinic to help prospective wild horse adopters and all horse owners to build partnerships and mutual respect between horse and human. Bad habits and ill manners will also be addressed. Donna resides, trains and teaches in Alabama as well as traveling the US giving clinics. She offers other services which can be found on her website www.Donnawest.com. Donna is a master clinician for the Horsemanship Safety Association and is always concerned for the safety of both handler and horse.

Agenda
| Sunday AM | Introductions and expectations Horse psychology Basic rules of safety in the round pen and around wild horses. Benefits of gentling using the round pen and importance of using your equipment effectively. Demonstration of haltering, leading, ground work and respecting space. |
| Lunch and Discussion | |
| Sunday PM | Group will do ground work with their horse, and will be able to identify any individual needs. Exercises will be personalized to each horse and handler. |
| Monday AM | Review of ground work. Introduction of obstacles. Build confidence of horse and human and handler. |
| Lunch | Demonstration of proper and safe grooming, ”basic tacking up,” checking saddle fit. Understanding basic bridles and bitting. Adjusting bridle to comfortable and proper fit. |
| Monday PM | Demonstration of preparing for first ride. When is the horse ready? Mounting safely, What to expect. Group riding session on safe riding horses. Helmets and boots required. |
| Tuesday AM | Review of Sat. and Sun. ground work Drill team exercise |
| Lunch | Will cover deworming, TPR’s, sheath cleaning, (mares need cleaning too). |
| Tuesday PM | Group riding session End of clinic |
Donation for 3 day clinic $300.00 payable to Ever After Mustang Rescue.
Auditors $20.00 per day. $50.00 for all 3 days.
Private lesions available with Donna on Wed. at $50.00 for hour.
